FutureGov Networks is in beta, which means we're still working on it. We want it to be useful so tell us what you think and what else you'd like to see and we'll make it happen.
We are a consultancy with a passion for making the most of information and the web to improve the public sector. We want to help government get closer to its customers so that services better meet their needs.
At the end of June, I headed over to by far and away the best digital engagement themed conference I've been to so far - the Personal Democracy Forum 2009 in New York.
The stand out presentation without a shadow of a doubt was this presentation from Michael Wesch titled "The Machine is (Changing) Us" about how the internet is changing society. Never before have I seen a standing ovation at a conference but his was truly deserved!
For the rest of the content from the conference, head over to the PDF website (click right/left on the actual video to see others) and also look for PDF coming to Europe in November this year. We hope to be supporting this event so watch this space.
Watching this video made me think of Terminator. I am trying to get Michael at next years Digital Engagement event - you can also check out another one of his fine pieces of work at www.digitalengagementevent.com it's called 'An anthropological introduction to Youtube' - scroll down the homepage and flick through the videos, it's the last one, or you can just see it at youtube....be warned, it's 55mins long but well worth it ;)
