Hmm. The post from last night's Safeguarding 2.0 round-table came out a bit strangely.
The session had a brilliant mix of practitioners and companies working with the social services sector and there was some fascinating discussion. I tweeted a few of the key points and others joined in too - take a look at the hashtag stream.
There will be plenty of opportunities to get involved in this area so we'd love to hear your thoughts...
This is a really great paper on using technology to get citizens involved in decision-making.
Some great case studies and lessons learned, as well as some useful pointers, with some UK examples as well as some USA ones.
Well worth a read if you're trying to convince your organisation to do things a bit differently.

I'm spending the day at Google's Local Government event in London listening to google talk about their products and services - I thought I'd share their top tips for good websites, since I know lots of councils struggle to get their sites right. Originally written for ecommerce sites (Amazon etc) these tips need some adaptation for government, but not as much as you might think - after all, it's better to get people transacting online, reducing the costs of dealing with calls and paperwo....
