FutureGov Networks is in beta, which means we're still working on it. We want it to be useful so tell us what you think and what else you'd like to see and we'll make it happen.
We are a consultancy with a passion for making the most of information and the web to improve the public sector. We want to help government get closer to its customers so that services better meet their needs.
Introducing Simpl (Social Innovation MarketPlace) which connects people with ideas for improving public services to people in the public sector who can help make it happen.
Let us know what you think!
Today we launched our new look website (and web address) over at wearefuturegov.com
Why not take a look - we'd love to hear what you think!
And while you're at it, grab yourself a spot at our next FutureGov Network event being run with the Improvement and Development Agency for local government:
VRM Hub is a monthly gathering of people who think the web has more to offer than the classic social networking sites like Facebook, which keep your data locked up so you can never use it again (from info like your date of birth and contacts through to info like your wall posts and poking activity).

Taken from David Wilcox's playlist from yesterday's MyPublicServices event, Denise Stephens from Enabled by Design and Carrie Bishop from FutureGov talk about their projects and the role of Social Innovation Camp and other initiatives in shaping social innovation in public services.
A big congratulations to all involved in the event, especially Patient Opinion for making it happen.
If the coverage on the BBC technology site is anything to go by, you may want to remember this event as the day social innovation hit the big time.
Here's a video of my recent interview Anna Maybank, Director of Social Innovation Camp, for the upcoming for PDF Europe event.
Anna explains the what, why, how and where next for Social Innovation Camp.
You can also read my blog post in full over on the FutureGov blog.
I wasn't able to make the Socitm event, but great to see so much content being shared on slideshare and their main site after the conference by the organisers, including this keynote speech from Geoff Mulgan of the Young Foundation.
I can't say I agree with it all (to say there is an effective investment model for social innovation for government and social enterprise is simply wrong) but plenty of food for thought.
Enjoy!
Someone Tweeted this video, which is pretty cool.
Although it turns out to be an advert there's a lot councils and TfL could learn from this.
