FutureGov Networks is in beta, which means we're still working on it. We want it to be useful so tell us what you think and what else you'd like to see and we'll make it happen.
We are a consultancy with a passion for making the most of information and the web to improve the public sector. We want to help government get closer to its customers so that services better meet their needs.
I've been catching up on the Spending Challenge online consultation and wrote a couple of posts:
On the importance of trust and credibility: Did the UK Spending Challenge Fall Victim to SCID?
On some of the challenges around policy crowdstorming that remain to be solved: Brainstorming Policy Ideas Online: We’re Not There Yet!
Comments welcome!

Long time hero of mine David Harvey has his RSA lecture aminated to extra effect.
Fascinating in every way.
h/t Nick Marsh for the spot
Just a quick one to share the slides we presented to NESTA's Reboot Britain event on Monday outlining some of the work we've been doing looking at rethinking child protection and the role web technologies might play in enhancing prevention.
To read more or watch a short video of our recent event, have a read of our blog post.
All thoughts appreciated.
Today we launched our new look website (and web address) over at wearefuturegov.com
Why not take a look - we'd love to hear what you think!
And while you're at it, grab yourself a spot at our next FutureGov Network event being run with the Improvement and Development Agency for local government:
Last week I was part of an O'Reilly Gov 2.0 online conference, Gov 2.0 Internation: Global Meeting Local Challenges.
I spoke on UK Innovations in Gov 2.0 (or 'You say Gov 2.0, we say digital engagement'), giving attendees (viewers?) from round the world a taste of the journey the UK has been through in embracing web 2.0 in government.
Clearly it's a quick canter through one man's take on the UK's journey and doesn't cover everything, but I'd love to hear views on the story I tell and anything I may have missed.
You can also find links to all the websites I mention in the presentation over here.
Last but not least in the slides from Monday's FutureGov Network meets Measurement Camp event. Thanks Ingrid!
Just to quickly point you to this new report from the RSA and direct you to their website to read more.
Worth a look (as is most of their research) ...
