FutureGov Networks is in beta, which means we're still working on it. We want it to be useful so tell us what you think and what else you'd like to see and we'll make it happen.

Mapping political social media crowds and #pdf10

The first of many bits and pieces we're bound to share with you after our visit to the fantastic Personal Democracy Forum in New York last week, here Marc Smith gives you the run down on what he and his colleagues are working on around social network analysis and online relationships.

As I say more of this sort of thing as we catch up on our post-event reading, but for now take a look at the event summary from FutureGov's Carrie as well as what was said on Twitter during the 2 day event.

Oh, and then there's always the recordings of the keynotes brought to you by Civico of course... :)

Turning ideas in action at mypublicservices

Taken from David Wilcox's playlist from yesterday's MyPublicServices event, Denise Stephens from Enabled by Design and Carrie Bishop from FutureGov talk about their projects and the role of Social Innovation Camp and other initiatives in shaping social innovation in public services.

A big congratulations to all involved in the event, especially Patient Opinion for making it happen.

If the coverage on the BBC technology site is anything to go by, you may want to remember this event as the day social innovation hit the big time.

The Killer Question

There's a new blog post over at FutureGov:

The Killer Question

Let us know your thoughts - What one interview question would you ask someone going for a public sector leadership job to test whether they truly believe in social innovation and the social web?

If you're curious to know about my experiences going to NYC as FutureGov's competition winner and attending the impressive Personal Democracy Forum Conference 2009, come check my reporting back on the FutureGov Consultancy website. Another report on with more information from the conference will be written due to popular demand! So stay tune for that! Till then, take care folks! :-)
