FutureGov Networks is in beta, which means we're still working on it. We want it to be useful so tell us what you think and what else you'd like to see and we'll make it happen.
We are a consultancy with a passion for making the most of information and the web to improve the public sector. We want to help government get closer to its customers so that services better meet their needs.
Consultant/nosey parker currently working with FutureGov, interested in web, VRM, social change, trainers, listening, music, new stuff...
@thomtownsend hmm. Suspect IT mgrs could make a convincing case for any other browser if they feel that strongly (esp free browsers)
@thomtownsend it's apparently being won in local govt (though ppl laughed when he said that) and presumably through IT mangrs changing minds
'The battle of IE6 is being won' says someone at #khub.
@GaryColet indeed - it will be interesting to see which way it goes, let's hope it's as you say #khub
If people are worried about their jobs will they share knowledge? #khub
Sensible approach by #khub to make sure users can more or less use it through email, since weaning people off email is a losing battle
Yikes! spam-o-rama :( sorry about the comments on this post, it looks like we have some tinkering to do this weekend. Please bear with us and normal service should be resumed soon *embarrassed face* Cheers Carrie FutureGov
Hmm. very unconvinced by Foursquare, mostly due to their shocking disregard for their users' privacy and personal data. See this blog post: http://www.bitsbook.com/2010/01/foursquare-meets-harvard/ (via http://www.mediainfluencer.net/) I would encourage government to steer well clear of this sort of trick!
This video is amazing. I never knew the Obama administration had a grandma-killing programme.
No problemo :) Hope some of it comes in handy for Camden...!
